National Night Out in Monte Vista

On August 6th we, the people of Monte Vista and beyond, will come together to celebrate National Night Out!! We invite you to join us at Chapman Park from 5pm-8pm. Come out to meet your neighbors, local law enforcement, emergency responders and more. Free food & games, something for all ages. Golf in the San Luis Valley

Creede Rock & Mineral Show

The 18th Annual Creede Rock & Mineral Show is Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 2nd, 3rd and 4th at the Underground Mining Museum. Over forty exhibitors will be showing and selling a fascinating array of gems, geodes, fossils, silver ore, turquoise nuggets, Australian opals, beads, jewelry, and stone carvings, plus all types of rock and mineral specimens from around the world. This event will intrigue viewers, buyers, collectors, and rock hounds of all ages. Jennifer Inge, owner of Rare Things Gallery and Kathleen Murphy, Executive Director of the Creede Visitors Center bring you all the details.

Creede’s Independence Day Celebration

Come celebrate Independence Day in Creede this year. Everything from a parade, fireworks, vendors, live music and a dance to the Colorado State Mining Championships are all taking place on July 4th and 5th. Come enjoy the festivities this year, in Creede, Colorado.
